New Army chief takes office

General Waker-Uz-Zaman has taken over as the Chief of Bangladesh Army for three years. The Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) Directorate confirmed the matter issuing a press release on Sunday. He replaces General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed who went on retirement on completion of his tenure.
